This action is permanent
Account deletion cannot be reversed. All your bills, customers, udhaar records, products, and business data will be permanently erased.
Before deleting, consider exporting your key reports from the Reports section of the app.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the app itself. This deletes everything in under a minute.
- Open HisaabNow on your phone and make sure you are logged in.
- Tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
- Tap Delete My Account.
- Read the warning carefully, then type the confirmation phrase exactly as shown:
Mera Hisaab Mitao (for Hindi users)
Delete my account (for English users) - Tap the red Delete button to confirm.
Your account will be deleted within 60 seconds. You will be logged out automatically, and the app will return to the login screen.
Option 2 — Email request
If you cannot access the app for any reason (lost phone, uninstalled app, changed phone number), you can email us to request deletion:

Send an email from the phone number registered with your account, or from the email you used to communicate with us previously. Include:
- Your registered phone number (the one you used to log in)
- A clear statement: "Please delete my HisaabNow account and all associated data."
- Reason for deletion (optional — helps us improve)
We will respond within 48 hours to confirm receipt, and complete deletion within 30 days as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Email Deletion RequestWhat gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently erase:
- Your shop profile (shop name, owner name, UPI ID, GSTIN, logo).
- All your bills, sales records, and invoice history.
- All products in your inventory.
- All purchase and expense records.
- All customer records and udhaar (credit) ledger entries.
- All supplier records and supplier credit history.
- Staff and attendance records (if you used these).
- Your subscription record and any pending subscription requests.
- Your authentication record (you will no longer be able to log in with this phone number).
What we keep
For legal, tax, and audit compliance, we retain the following for a minimum of 5 years:
- An anonymised audit log entry recording that a deletion occurred, with date and account ID. This does not contain your phone number, shop name, or any business data.
Additionally, our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) maintains automated backups for up to 7 days after deletion. These are automatically purged. We do not access these backups except in emergency data recovery scenarios.
Your customers' data
Customer names and phone numbers that you saved in your udhaar ledger are deleted along with your account. Note that the same customer's phone number may still exist in another shop's ledger if they have given it to multiple shops. We do not maintain a cross-shop index of customer data.
